OLIVIA HARRISON KNIGHT, MS, rn, CCRN
Olivia Harrison Knight, Vice President of the Brooklyn Nurses Association (BNA), is currently a Nursing Supervisor at NYC Health + Hospitals Corporation. Olivia is a native of Brooklyn, New York and she is very proud to represent the borough of Brooklyn. Olivia is a certified critical care nurse, who has 26 years of nursing expertise. Her clinical nursing background consists of medical surgical nursing and critical care nursing. While exploring the nursing profession, Olivia pursued leadership positions where she could focus on encouraging and supporting other nurses to seek advanced education and obtain specialty certification in their area of expertise.
Olivia holds a Master of Science Degree from Central Michigan University in Administration, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Joseph College in Healthcare Administration, and a Nursing Degree from Kingsborough Community College.
Olivia has a strong passion to educate the Brooklyn community on new approaches to strive for and maintain their most optimal health. She believes that by "taking care of yourself, you fortify your ability to care for others". Education on healthy habits, nutrition and daily exercise will strengthen ones’ ability to provide care for family members and build healthy communities that will thrive for generations to come.
