YOLETTE LEGER, MS, RN, CCRN

Yolette Leger, Founder and President of the Brooklyn Nurses Association (BNA), is currently a Nurse Manager for the NYC Health + Hospitals Corporation.  Yolette is from the beautiful city of Port-Salut, Republic of Haiti, and is as proud of her Haitian roots as she is her Brooklyn roots. She has been a surgical ICU nurse for over 31 years.

Yolette earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from City College and a Master of Science Degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.  Also holding a certification in critical care, she is a true believer in the power of knowledge.  Additionally, Yolette is an adjunct clinical instructor at Touro University and Long Island University.

Nurses are often portrayed as being strong, compassionate and caring practitioners. Yolette’s primary concern is that the BNA will provide a platform to reintegrate those qualities and core values into the nursing profession through mentorship with, and affiliation to the professional nurses who comprise the BNA.
