LUCIENE FERGUSSON, BSN, RN

Luciene Fergusson, Secretary and a Director of the Board for the Brooklyn Nurses Association (BNA), is originally from the most alluring city of Benn Hill, St. Peter in the eastern Caribbean island of Barbados and has been a proud Brooklyn resident for over 30 years. Luciene has an impressive 20 years of experience in the field of nursing.  She currently works in Brooklyn at New York Community Hospital.  Luciene’s clinical specialty is primarily in medical surgical nursing and progressive care. 

Luciene received her Associates degree in nursing from the Borough of Manhattan Community College in 1996, then went on to attain a Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2005 from Lehman College.  In 2016, Ms. Fergusson was voted the ‘Nurse of Distinction’ in a hospital setting at the New York Community Hospital.  Currently Luciene serves her constituents as a union delegate in the 1199/SEIU representing the members of her institution and also serves as liaison for the labor department and hospital administration at her hospital. 

Luciene is devoted to providing the highest quality healthcare to the Brooklyn community at large.  In line with the vision and mission of the BNA, Her primary goal is to educate all Brooklyn residents in the prevention of the most prevalent health issues plaguing our communities today.
